Anunuebe Tree: The Anunuebe tree as a totem for Ekwensu represents truth, purity, justice, and authority. As a sacred ancient and powerful tree, Anunuebe represents the balance between the physical and spiritual realms. It is said about this tree that no bird would dare to perch on it. ‘Nnunu’ or ‘Anunu’ in Igbo means birds and ‘Ebe’ means never perches. In ancient times only powerful Dibias were allowed to go closer to itm because it requires those who approach it to be in a pure state or a state of holiness (Nso). It is also said of the sacred Anunu-ebe that its tree leaves never touch the ground, cobwebs are said to be woven around the tree’s top, where all of its dead leaves fall. The Anunuebe tree's deep connection to the earth signifies a reverence for the cycles of life and a strong connection to higher consciousness. As a totem it embodies strong healing properties and reminds us of the importance of honoring our roots, respecting boundaries, and recognizing our place within the cosmic web of existence.
Circled Triangle: This symbol which can be used to channel or summon Ekwensu’s energy represents unity, balance, protection, harmony and structure within the cosmic order. The triangle of protection, with its three points, often signifies aspects such as mind, body, and spirit or past, present, and future. It can also represent the three aspects of the divine in whatever form the divine manifests itself in ones culture (e.g sky, earth, and ancestors). While the circle represents wholeness, eternity, and the infinite nature of the universe.
