Nimo Town Overview
Nimo is an Igbo community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. It shares borders with Abagana, Enugwu-Ukwu, Abacha, Neni and Nri.

Main Market Day
The major market day in Nimo is Orie (Oye). The major market where trading activities are held is called Oye-Nimo.
Major Festivals
Ilo Mmuo Festival: This is the New Yam Festival of the Nimo people. It is usually held in August every year.
Iri-Ede Oye: This is a celebration of the Oye market spirits of the Nimo people. The women of the community who participate in the ancestral tradition cook large portions of Ede (cocoyam) and give to their visitors. The festival also features masquerade and other cultural displays to mark the occasion.

Founder and History
According to oral history, Nimo was one of the sons of a man called Owelle who was the son of a migrant from Izuogu (in present day Imo State). Owelle is the progenitor of both Nimo and Eziowelle towns.
