Adazi-Nnukwu Town Overview
Adazi-Nnukwu is an Igbo town located in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State. It shares its borders with Obeledu, Nimo, Nri, Adazi-Enu, Adazi-Ani, Agulu and Neni.

Founder and History
According to oral tradition, the people of Adazi-Nnukwu are largely descendants of Obunnukwu, a grandson of a man named Okotu. Through Okotu's lineage, Obunnukwu connects Adazi-Nnukwu to several neighboring communities established by the same ancestral line, including Ichida, Adazi-Enu, Adazi-Ani, Amichi, Osumenyi, Ikenga, Umuona, and Obeledu. While Obunnukwu’s descendants formed the town's early foundation, other groups later migrated from different parts of Igboland to join the community, settling in the Amata village of Adazi-Nnukwu.
