Alor is an Igbo town located in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State. It shares its borders with Nnokwa, Oraukwu, Adazi-Ani, Nnobi, Uke, Ideani and Abatete.

Main Market Day
The main market day in Alor is Nkwo, and the market itself is locally known as Nkwo-Alor. Burial ceremonies are prohibited in Alor on Nkwo day.
Major Festivals
Erim-Ji Alor Festival: Alor's annual New Yam Festival, celebrated on the first Nkwo market day in August.
Olisa Festival: Also known as the Nkwo-Alor festival, this is a ceremony honoring the revered Nkwo-Alor deity.
Alor Carnival: An annual January celebration where indigenous and neighboring masquerades perform for the Alor community.
